The short version
I help regulated enterprises adopt AI that works within compliance boundaries, not around them. My work sits at the intersection of AI strategy, product management, and UX design, which means I can take a project from discovery through to production without the usual handoff gaps.
Over the past 9+ years, I have designed enterprise platforms, managed product lifecycles for marketplace apps, led cross-functional teams across multiple countries, and built four production AI tools from scratch under DOME, my own venture.
I work primarily with mid-to-large enterprises in the Netherlands and broader Europe. My clients include Ahold Delhaize, Albert Heijn, and Rabobank. I operate through Ionita Consulting and as a direct consultant.
How I got here
UX/UI Designer
Started in finance and insurance, designing enterprise interfaces and learning the constraints of regulated environments first-hand.
UX Lead & Product Designer
Led the design of a blockchain traceability platform for Albert Heijn, working across cross-functional teams in the Netherlands, UK, and Ukraine.
Product Manager
Managed the full product lifecycle for 12 HubSpot Marketplace apps at Exelab, including a custom Twilio integration for CRM automation.
AI & Automation Consultant
Consulting for Ahold Delhaize on procurement UX while building DOME, a suite of governance-driven AI tools, independently.
My approach
Most AI consultants hand you a strategy deck. I hand you working software. My approach is rooted in building, not just advising, which means I can validate ideas quickly, catch integration issues early, and deliver outcomes rather than recommendations.
I treat governance as a design constraint, not an afterthought. Every tool I build, every workflow I design, accounts for compliance, auditability, and the realities of operating in regulated industries. This is what separates useful AI from demo-ware.
I keep teams small and delivery tight. No bloated squads, no handoff gaps, no six-month discovery phases. Whether I am embedded as a consultant or leading product independently, the goal is always the same: ship something that works, for people who need it, within the rules that govern them.

Based in Florence
I live and work in Florence, Italy. Most of my clients are in the Netherlands and broader Europe, and I work remotely as standard with regular on-site visits when the project calls for it.
Florence is a city built on craft, precision, and patronage. Working here keeps me close to a tradition of making things that last, which is exactly how I think about the products I build. It also helps that espresso is never more than two minutes away.
